about

After visiting the beautiful and eclectic Hungarian capital city, Budapest, Paul was inspired to write this song. It expresses both the franticness and the grandeur of this city with it's hidden oasis of relaxation and the quirky personality of the local people. It is meant to make you smile and to feel something that takes you outside of yourself for a brief moment in time.

lyrics

long awaited holiday
couldn't seem to get away
from this town we're in
and the problems we have
ya know we might just grin
(might just win)
or maybe even laugh
(even laugh)

we welcome you to Budapest
where you can take a rest
we can't afford to pay you when
you play the violin

night time strolling down the river wide
following the glowing lights
emerald, golden, white

we crossed the bridge
we took a dip
I stole a kiss
got lost in it

we welcome you to Budapest
where you can take a rest
we can't afford to pay you when
you play the violin

we welcome you to Budapest
(long awaited holiday)
we welcome you to Budapest
(long awaited holiday)
we welcome you to Budapest
(long awaited holiday)
we welcome you to Budapest
(long awaited holiday)
